RANDOM STRANGERS JAM

Random Strangers Jam LLC was created with the idea of making improvised funk rock jam sessions easy to find and accessible to all musicians who are looking for a creative community.

 

Our trademark registration with the USPTO is expected in December 2024 now that the period of opposition has closed, which means we can now safely expand to additional boroughs in NYC, as well as to entirely new cities and countries!

Wish there were a jam like Random Strangers Jam in your area? We'd love to discuss partnering with you and sharing our our infrastructure including communication channels, branding, and industry know-how so you can spend maximal time playing, and minimal time struggling to find musicians to join your jam.

• 1 paragraph on why you want to specifically run a Random Strangers Jam and not just start your own

• Brief 1-2 sentences including your experience playing music

• Brief 1-2 sentences including your experience hosting events

• What does your house band look like? 

• Would your events be open to the public or hosted in a private space? 

• What venue do you have in mind for hosting your events (name, location, capacity, free with bar split or ticketed entry)? Do you know what the venue revenue split would be (it's ok if you don't know yet)? 

• When could you start?

• How frequently would you be able to host Random Strangers Jam sessions?

• How long would your Random Strangers Jam sessions be? 

• How long can you commit to hosting and organizing Random Strangers Jam in your area? We expect a minimum of 6-12 months but prefer longer. 

• A few samples of you playing improvised music live - no cover songs or studio albums. 

• Any other information you think is good to know

​If we determine your circumstances represent a good fit and you decide to become a quarterly or annual member, Random Strangers Jam LLC will provide you with:

​

• a customized RSJ branding tool-kit so you can hit the ground running and attract jammers,

• a sub-page on the RSJ website so you have an instant landing page to organize musicians and jammers,

• support pitching venues and negotiating bookings so you book sessions quicker with RSJ's reputation backing you,

• support setting up all ticketing and social media channels so you can sell tickets and reach your audience with ease,

• and more!

Membership rates are negotiated at the time of agreement but are generally around $300 quarterly / $1000 annually (plus taxes and fees) for a mid-size city location. Note: we do limit the number of jams in any geographic area to avoid saturating a given market with our sessions and this is decided on a case by case analysis. If a jam exists in your area already, we can help connect you with the organizers so you can get involved in some capacity.
